SoundBirth Practitioner Training
Learn how to support expectant couples to use sound and voice with confidence for a calm, connected birth
SoundBirth Practitioner Training is a structured, mentoring-based experience for birth workers, sound healers and wellness practitioners who feel drawn to working with sound in the context of pregnancy and birth.
You’ll learn how to confidently weave SoundBirth tools — including crystal singing bowls and vocal toning — into your existing work, whether that’s through 1:1 sessions, workshops, birth preparation classes, or within the birth space itself.
Some people are drawn to supporting women before birth, helping them connect to their voice and feel more prepared.
Others integrate sound into their work as a doula or midwife, using it gently and intuitively during labour.
And some create entirely new offerings — workshops, circles, or retreats for expectant couples.
There is no one way to do this.
Throughout the training, you’ll be guided through a clear pathway with practical tools, presentations and resources — while also being supported to share SoundBirth in a way that feels natural and true to you.
At its heart, this work is about connection — helping women and their partners use sound and voice to feel more grounded, supported, and connected during birth.
If you’re curious about how this could fit into your work, you’re warmly invited to book a free chat.

The SoundBirth Story
SoundBirth began during the home birth of my third baby in 2009.
One of my crystal singing bowls was sitting quietly in the corner of the room. At some point, my mum intuitively picked it up and began to play.
Up until then, my contractions were becoming more intense… and I could feel the urge to make sound — to moan, to open my voice — but I held it back.
I felt self-conscious.
Even though I was surrounded by people I trusted — my midwife, my husband, my friend, my mum — I still felt inhibited. I had felt that way in my previous births too.
But as soon as I heard the sound of the bowl, something shifted.
Without thinking, I began to make sound with my voice… and almost instantly, I felt relief.
The room seemed to fade away.
All that was present was the sound — the bowl, my voice, and the space it created.
The contraction passed… and the sound faded with it.
I remember thinking, that changed everything.
From that moment on, I asked my doula to play the bowl through every contraction for the next five hours.
During my fourth birth, my birth team took turns playing the bowl — this time for nearly thirty hours.
It felt like the sound was holding me. Supporting me. Giving me something to move with, rather than resist.
That experience stayed with me.
Not as a technique… but as something deeply felt.
And from there, SoundBirth began to take shape — as a way of supporting women and their partners to use sound and voice during birth in a way that feels natural, connected, and deeply supportive.
Since then, these tools have been shared by doulas, midwives, partners and practitioners — in homes and hospitals — supporting women through labour in their own unique way.
This experience is what I now share through the SoundBirth Practitioner Training.
