Sound Integration Mentoring

Spend personalised one-on-one time with Nicole exploring how sound, voice, crystal singing bowls, and relaxation practices can be integrated into your personal life or professional work.

These sessions are ideal for teachers, parents, doulas, yoga teachers, wellness practitioners, musicians, facilitators, or anyone curious about working with sound in a grounded and supportive way.

Nicole brings together her background in classical music, education, sound facilitation, and years of experience working with sound in both group and one-on-one settings.

What is it?

Sound has the ability to help people slow down, reconnect, express themselves creatively, and create meaningful experiences for others.

Over the years, I have worked with crystal singing bowls, voice, music, and immersive sound experiences in many different settings — from birth spaces and workshops to relaxation sessions, mentoring, and group facilitation.

These mentoring sessions are designed for people wanting personalised support as they explore how sound might become part of their personal life, creative work, wellbeing practice, teaching, or professional offerings.

Some people come to learn about crystal singing bowls. Others want guidance facilitating sound journeys, building confidence with their voice, creating calming spaces, or simply exploring sound in a grounded and supportive way.

There is no “one way” to work with sound, which is why I tailor sessions to each individual person, their interests, and their goals.

Whether you are completely new to sound or already working in the wellness, education, music, or birth space, these sessions are designed to meet you where you are.

Who is this for?

These sessions are for anyone wanting to explore how sound, voice, music, and relaxation practices can be integrated into their personal life, creative work, or professional offerings.

I work with:

  • People wanting to learn how to facilitate relaxing and immersive sound journeys

  • Sound practitioners looking to build more confidence, skills, ideas, or practical experience

  • Yoga teachers wanting to incorporate sound into classes, relaxation sessions, or retreats

  • Birth and end-of-life doulas exploring the supportive use of sound and voice in their work

  • School teachers wanting calming and creative sound-based ideas for the classroom

  • Massage therapists, wellness practitioners, and workshop facilitators interested in integrating sound into sessions or group experiences

  • People recovering from stress, burnout, illness, or major life changes who feel drawn to exploring sound in a gentle and supportive way

  • Anyone wanting guidance choosing, playing, and working with crystal singing bowls and other sound tools

Do I Need Musical Experience?

Not at all.

You do not need to be a musician or performer to explore sound in a meaningful way.

All you need is curiosity, openness, and a willingness to listen, experiment, and learn at your own pace.

“In 2020 I met Nicole and was a part of her Sound Facilitator Training. It absolutely opened my eyes to sound and the beautiful flow and connection I can have in being playful and rediscovering myself. Connecting with other sound healers and creators in the process also allowed me to discover play and find what works for me. My discovery and play hasn’t stopped, opening up to creating my own instruments and myself. Nicole is a wealth of knowledge and connection I would highly recommend her courses who are also supported with IICT insurance. Nicole’s vibrance for life and her own unique connection to everything she does, just opens doors.

What You May Explore?

Every mentoring session is personalised, so the topics we explore will depend on your interests, goals, experience, and the direction you would like to take with sound.

Possible areas of exploration include:

Your Vision, Interests & Fears

Explore your goals, ideas, and concerns around sharing sound with others. Together we can identify what makes your approach unique and how you might confidently integrate sound into your personal or professional life.

  • Chimes

  • Drums

  • Voice

  • Flutes

  • Gongs

  • Other relaxation-based sound tools

  • Creating atmosphere through sound

No prior musical experience is needed.

Structure & Intuition

Learn how structure and intuition can work together during a sound session. Explore ways to create a gentle framework while still allowing space for spontaneity, presence, and responsiveness.

Creating Safe & Relaxing Experiences

Explore ways to introduce and conclude sessions so participants feel comfortable, supported, and able to relax more deeply throughout the experience.

Many people feel nervous speaking, vocalising, or playing instruments in front of others. Together we can gently explore ways to build confidence, reduce self-consciousness, and become more comfortable sharing sound in your own authentic way.

Voice, Intention & Presence

Explore the use of voice, breath, intention, and focused listening within sound sessions. Learn simple ways these elements can encourage greater presence, relaxation, connection, and self-awareness.

The Sound Zone

Yogahub has been working with Nicole Lloyd since 2016. Together we have produced a unique sound and yoga experience that has become a favourite among our clients and a mainstay on our programme. Collaborating with Nicole has been a fantastic experience. Nicole teaches that sound is both a science and an art. Nicole holds a university degree in music so her performance skills are exceptional. Why Learn from Me?

A Strong Musical Foundation

With a Bachelor of Music (Classical Performance) and a lifelong background in music, I can help you develop a deeper understanding of musicality, listening, flow, and the creative use of sound within your sessions.

I especially enjoy helping people refine their confidence, transitions, pacing, and overall sound experience in a way that feels natural and authentic to them.

Years of Practical Experience

I have spent more than 15 years facilitating sound journeys, working with crystal singing bowls, and exploring the use of sound, voice, and music in both group and one-on-one settings.

Over the years I have gathered a wide range of practical insights, resources, and experience that I enjoy sharing with others in a grounded and supportive way.

Student-Centred Learning

My mentoring approach is gentle, flexible, and student-centred.

Rather than teaching one rigid method, I aim to support people in discovering their own unique way of working with sound based on their personality, interests, goals, and strengths.

I believe people learn best when they feel relaxed, supported, and free to explore at their own pace.

Explore a Variety of Instruments

During in-person sessions, you will have access to a wide range of sound instruments to explore, including crystal singing bowls and other relaxation-based sound tools.

This gives you the opportunity to experience different sounds and instruments firsthand before deciding what feels right for you.

Ongoing Resources & Guidance

I am also happy to share helpful resources, ideas, and trusted instrument suppliers so you can continue learning and developing your sound practice beyond our sessions together.

After a sound bath meditation held by Nicole at a soulful community oriented space, Yogahub, I asked Nicole about having lessons with her. I had no idea where this would lead but I felt a buzz of excitement when exploring the instruments for the first time. Here’s to the various group lessons and 1:1 mentoring sessions I have had with Nicole and the words of encouragement and support from my community, family and friends. I am always grateful for those who have led, guided, taught, mentored and continue to as I flow, play and create.”

FAQ

  • No! All you need is the desire to learn play and share sound with others! You will gain the experience you need as you go!

  • No, you don't!  You will be drawn to the tools you want to use in our 1:1 session and then you can start collecting them! You only need a handful of instruments to start offering these sessions ... and you can then build over time.

  • Ideally of course it is easier to learn in person, so you can really explore and listen to the instruments.  But I also know from my own experience that most of the learning occurs when you are actually out there facilitating these sound journeys for others.  The rest is just information and tips! So, if you don't live in Perth, you will still be able to fine tune your skills during our 1:1 sessions via Zoom.

  • You will know!  You will start gaining positive feedback from others. You will feel confident enough to continue to offer sessions and people will keep showing up!

  • If you live in Perth, Western Australia, your mentoring sessions will be held in Leeming. If you live elsewhere in the world let’s Zoom!

  • Usually, 1.5 hours is enough time, but we can go up to 2 hours. Either way, cost is the same. You can always come back for another 1:1 when you are ready! You will need time in between sessions to integrate what you have learnt anyway!

Ready to Explore the World of Sound?

If you are curious about sound, voice, creativity, and connection, I would love to support you as you explore where this journey may lead.

Every person works with sound differently, and it is always a privilege to witness people discovering their own confidence, style, and way of sharing it with others.

I look forward to connecting with you.
